Help us fill out our smart bin by recycling your small electronics at VPPS

Ventura Park PS is the first Elementary School in Ontario and Quebec to have its very own Electrobac. Our Community now have the opportunity to dispose of their electronic waste in an eco-friendly way by using the smart bin located in front of the Office.

You can recycle a wide variety of small electronic devices including cell phones, cameras, MP3 players, ink cartridges, computer peripherals, headphones and chargers among many others. Over 100 different types of electronics can be recycled in the Electrobac. For more information about recyclable items, please visit http://www.electrobac.com.

Important Reminder

Please note that every student should bring 3 to 5 masks to school daily. We’ve noticed there is a large number of students that requests masks at the office very often.

It is imperative that students enter the building with a mask on when they arrive to school. Students should not enter the school without a mask on.

Bring your used Batteries to school and help us win the Battery Recycling Program Challenge

To help do our part in protecting the environment, Ventura Park P.S. is competing in the Ontario Schools Battery Recycling Program Challenge! From now until May, please send any used batteries that need to be recycled with your child to school. There will be designated recycling bins where they can drop them off. The more we collect, the more chances we have at winning the grand challenge prize, $2000 for our school!

Collection bins will be located in front of the office on the first floor and in front of room 234 on the second floor.

We can do this, Ventura!
