For the next three weeks, our school will be participating in a winter clothing drive for New Circles. New Circles is an organization that collects clothing and other goods through donations to help those who do not have clothing or need a fresh start. Ventura Park is participating in a specific drive titled One Warm Coat, which collects winter clothing for those in need. The donation drive will run from Monday, November 28 2016 to Friday, December 16, 2016.

Here is a list of items that New Circles is in need of:

  • Coats
  • Hats
  • Scarves
  • Gloves/Mittens
  • Boots
  • Snow pants
  • Other winter clothing

Ventura Park thanks you for your kind donations. Your generosity will help keep members of our community warm this winter.

Community Safety at VPPS

The purpose of this message is to remind all parents that when VPPS has a function during the day or in the evening, it is imperative that we all observe and follow the traffic and parking rules.  Please be reminded that VPPS is in a very densely populated community with many homes and driveways.  Student, Staff, Parent, and Community members’ safety is a top priority, and all must our part by observing posted speed limits, making complete stops at stop signs, and parking according to the rules and bylaws clearly marked.  We also observe and respect our neighbourhood partners, and exhibit common courtesy when we park appropriately, and not block driveways or roadways.

Thank you for keeping everyone at VPPS and in our community safe!

Let’s Talk Science!!!
