Student Absences – Religious Holidays

Dear Parents/Guardians;

We recognize that many of our students will be away from school over the new 2 days to celebrate Rosh Hashanah.  We want to wish those families who are celebrating a Shana Tova.  If you know that your child will be absent on Thursday September 21, and/or Friday September 22, please be sure to use the Safe Arrival Program.  If you require reminders for the process of reporting absences, please see the instructions below.

VPPS Kids are Totally Awesome!!!

This past summer, VPPS Grade 2 student Daniel Pugach had a very successful series of Chess accomplishments.

Daniel’s journey began after qualifying for the Canadian National Youth Chess Championship in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.  He qualified for the National Championships after he won a local Youth Club Chess tournament in Markham.  By winning the Markham tournament, Daniel took part in the U8 Nationals from July 6 – 10 in Sault Ste. Daniel competed in the CYCC Tournament, becoming one of the youngest and best Canadian chess players in the U8 age group!

Bravo Daniel, et felicitations!!!
