Inclement Weather Today

Good Morning VPPS!

Due to continued weather warnings issued by Environment Canada and poor driving conditions, school bus and taxi transportation in York Region has been cancelled for today, FRIDAY JANUARY 12, 2018.

The school remains open today – but there will be no buses or taxis to or from school this afternoon. Remember that when buses are cancelled in the morning, they do not run in the afternoon.  If you choose to drive your child(ren) to school today, please make sure you can pick them up at 3:20 pm.  Dismissal for students will occur as follows:

  1. All students who walk to and from VPPS will be dismissed at 3:20 pm
  2. All students in Grades 1, 2, and 3 will be dismissed from the GYM at 3:20 pm
  3. All students in Grades 4 & 5 will be dismissed from the Library at 3:20 pm
  4. All students in Grades 6, 7, & 8 will be dismissed from the Staff Room at 3:20 pm

For those who are walking, please be very careful and give cars extra space for stopping and turning.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION – Wednesday Subs and Thursday Pizza Days at VPPS for 2018

  1. Reminder that Wednesday Subs and Thursday Pizza Lunches for Term 1 will continue to be delivered to students up to and including the week of Monday January 22 (the last Wednesday Sub day is January 24; the last Thursday Pizza day is January 25);
  2. Reminder that Term 2 orders (February – June) are due by Friday January 19, 2018 via School Cash Online
