Thank you so much for all  your kind donations for One Warm Coat, the drive has been a success thus far. We are continuing to accept donations until Friday December 14th.

Beaver Computing Challenge…The Results Are In…And VPPS Students Are AWESOME!!!

The results are in for our marvelous mathematicians at Ventura Park who participated in the Beaver Computing Challenge through the Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing, University of Waterloo. Final SKH Fundraiser Update

Dear Parents/Guardians,

The A Kid Helping Kids SickKids Fundraiser at VPPS ended this past Friday. All of the donations have been counted, and the Ventura Park community was able to reach and surpass the A Kid Helping Kids goal of $6,000.00. We were able to raise $7,813.50 for SickKids Foundation. I am so thankful for all of the generous donations and support over the past 4 weeks. Since Day 1 in 2014, A Kid Helping Kids has accumulated over $17,000! Your support is truly appreciated.

All prizes have been given to the raffle winners yesterday to be sent home.

An email has been sent to all donors who made a donation of $20.00 or greater regarding tax receipts. Please send back a reply by December 6th, with the following information so that your tax receipt can be issued ASAP.

– mailing address

– email address

– phone number

– total amount donated

– name of your child/children

The total amount donated includes Haunted House and raffle donations, however, not popcorn sales.

Human Rights Commissioner’s Office (HRCO)

York Region District School Board is committed to creating safe, equitable and inclusive learning and working environments. As part of this commitment, the Board established a Human Rights Commissioner’s Office (HRCO).

The HRCO was created in response to a growing awareness that a space was needed within the school board environment to effectively address issues of discrimination and harassment specific to the Human Rights Code.

The HRCO is an arms-length office for Human Rights Code compliance under the Board’s Human Rights Policy.

The HRCO website provides the YRDSB community access to important information related to human rights, a confidential complaint reporting process and contact information for the office.

Last Day for SKH Fundraiser – Friday November 30

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Tomorrow marks the last day of the A Kid Helping Kids SickKids Foundation Fundraiser at Ventura Park, led by grade 8 student here at Ventura Park, Lexx Lang.

We will be selling our remaining Kernels Popcorn bags for $2.00 tomorrow morning for all grades as a first come, first served process.

Tomorrow is also the last chance to bring in any donations to enter the raffle. Every $5.00 donated is 1 raffle entry. SickKids Foundation accepts both cash and cheque donations. All cheques must be made payable to SickKids Foundation, not Ventura Park.

Tax receipts will be issued upon request for all donations of $20.00 or greater. Please send a note with your full name, email, phone number, and address to school with your donation.
