Mackenzie Hazelwood started a charitable coat drive in Grade 1 at Ventura Park Public School and this year, celebrates the success of the 6th annual campaign! This year, Mackenzie decided to make it interesting by holding a competition between the classes at her school, with the class collecting the most items winning a Pizza Lunch and Dessert. The drives could not have been as successful without all of the generous contributions from the staff and students at VPPS, including Mme Dakran for helping organize the event & spent many hours with a team of student volunteers helping to count and sort all 3,300 donations! All items will be donated to New Circles Community Services, directly benefiting those in need. Thank You to Mackenzie & all the participants who helped make this a record-breaking year! #VPPSrules
