At the Junior & Intermediate Character Assembly yesterday, 8 VPPS Viking Athletes were presented with the October and November 2017 Athlete of the Month Awards by Mr. Babin and Mme Forde.  Congratulations all 8 of our recipients.  Have a look:

Inclement Weather Today, Friday December 22, 2017 – ALL BUSES ARE CANCELLED

Inclement Weather Today

Good Morning VPPS!

Due to continued weather warnings issued by Environment Canada and poor driving conditions, school bus and taxi transportation in York Region has been cancelled for today, FRIDAY DECEMBER 22, 2017.

The school remains open today – but there will be no buses or taxis to or from school this afternoon. If you choose to drive your child(ren) to school, please make sure you can pick them up at 3:20 pm.  Dismissal for students will occur as follows:

  1. All students who walk to and from VPPS will be dismissed at 3:20 pm
  2. All students in Grades 1, 2, and 3 will be dismissed from the GYM at 3:20 pm
  3. All students in Grades 4 & 5 will be dismissed from the Library at 3:20 pm
  4. All students in Grades 6, 7, & 8 will be dismissed from the Staff Room at 3:20 pm

For those who are walking, please be very careful and give cars extra space for stopping and turning.

On behalf of all of the staff at VPPS, we wish you a safe, restful, relaxing, and tremendous Holiday season, and a Happy New Year!  We look forward to seeing you all back here on Monday January 8, 2018!!!

The Groundskeepers say “Merci” to the Sakal Family

The groundskeepers have put their garden to bed for the winter. The final step was winterizing the cedars by wrapping them in burlap. We got this done just in time before the first snowfall! The groundskeepers would like to thank the Sakal family for their donation of materials and for their continued support of our garden. Un grand merci!
