Dear families,
As communicated , Environment Canada has issued an Air Quality Health Index (AQHI) statement for the Greater Toronto Area advising that high levels of air pollution are possible due to smoke from forest fires in Quebec and northeastern Ontario.
The current forecast indicates that the situation with the Air Quality Health Index is likely to continue or worsen in the coming days.
As a result, we will be continuing with indoor recess, until further notice. Students will be given body breaks and opportunities to move around.
As always, we will continue to follow the advice of Environment Canada and York Region Public Health. As the situation evolves, we will continue to provide families with information.
